Watching This Little Boy Befriend Marmots Is Adorable
Alpine Marmots are famous for being shy around humans. But something magical happened when Matteo Walch took a trip to visit the Austrian Alps with his parents.
It all started about four years ago when Matteo took his first trip to the Alps. He met the adorable Marmots and immediately struck up a friendship.
No one quite knows how the little boy did it, but maybe it has something to do with being the same size as the creatures. These heart-warming pictures capture their playful interactions.
Every year that Matteo returns to the Marmots, they greet him with the same love and excitement.
“Their friendship has lasted for more than four years now," explains Matteo's dad.
"He loves those animals and they are not at all afraid of Matteo because he has a feeling towards them and they understand that. We go there every year now for two weeks - it’s amazing to watch the connection between a boy and his animal friends.”_
