Watching This Little Boy Befriend Marmots Is Adorable

Watching This Little Boy Befriend Marmots Is Adorable

Alpine Marmots are famous for being shy around humans. But something magical happened when Matteo Walch took a trip to visit the Austrian Alps with his parents.
It all started about four years ago when Matteo took his first trip to the Alps. He met the adorable Marmots and immediately struck up a friendship.
No one quite knows how the little boy did it, but maybe it has something to do with being the same size as the creatures. These heart-warming pictures capture their playful interactions.
Every year that Matteo returns to the Marmots, they greet him with the same love and excitement.
“Their friendship has lasted for more than four years now," explains Matteo's dad.
"He loves those animals and they are not at all afraid of Matteo because he has a feeling towards them and they understand that. We go there every year now for two weeks - it’s amazing to watch the connection between a boy and his animal friends.”_

BANKSY’S DISMALAND: TAKE A FIRST LOOK INSIDE NIGHTMARE VERSION OF DISNEYLAND

BANKSY’S DISMALAND: TAKE A FIRST LOOK INSIDE NIGHTMARE VERSION OF DISNEYLAND

If “Dismaland” sounds like a nightmare version of Disneyland to you, then you’d be right. The “bemusement” park is the work of notorious street artist Banksy, and the 2.5 acre site opens today in the UK. The secret project, which was unveiled Thursday and is located in the abandoned Tropicana swimming resort in Weston-super-Mare, features theme-park attractions with a dark twist, along with work by Banksy and 50 other artists from around the world. “Dismaland” admission costs £3 and will run only for 5 weeks. The official brochure describes it in the following manner:
“Are you looking for an alternative to the soulless sugar-coated banality of the average family day out? Or just somewhere cheaper. Then this is the place for you—a chaotic new world where you can escape from mindless escapism. Instead of a burger stall, we have a museum. In place of a gift shop we have a library, well, we have a gift shop as well…This event contains adult themes, distressing imagery, extended use of strobe lighting, smoke effects and swearing. The following items are strictly prohibited: knives, spraycans, illegal drugs, and lawyers from the Walt Disney corporation.”

“I loved the Tropicana as a kid, so getting to throw these doors open again is a real honour” said Banksy

“I guess you’d say it’s a theme park whose big theme is ‘theme parks should have bigger themes”

Both small and large works can be found on the site

7 Social Hacks For Manipulating People

7 Social Hacks For Manipulating People:

1. Whenever someone is angry and confrontational, stand next to them instead of in front of them. You won’t appear as so much of a threat, and they eventually calm down.

2. Open with “I need your help.” People don’t like the guilt of not helping someoneout. When asking for a favor from someone, begin your request by saying “I need your help.” It greatly increases your chances of getting that favor done.

3. Rephrase what the other person says and repeat it back to them. This makes them think you’re listening and really interested in what they’re saying. It makes them feel validated. Obviously, you don’t want to overdo this.

4. If you want someone to agree with you, nod while you talk. This gets the other person to nod too, and they begin to subconsciously think they agree with you.

5. If someone doesn’t like you, ask to borrow a pencil. It is a small enough favor that they won’t say no, and it gets them to like you more.

6. Fold your arms to determine interest. If someone is observing you, they will likely mimic you. Fold your arms, and see if they do it, too.

7. Repeat a person’s name many times during a conversation. It helps you remember it, and makes them like you more.
