Watermelon just screams summer to me! It’s the perfect summer fruit. Not only does it hit the spot on a hot day, but it’s one of the prettiest fruits out there! There have been a lot of cute watermelon crafts and recipes circling the web these days. I searched around and found 15 super awesome watermelon DIY projects to make for National Watermelon Day! Korean artist Seung Mo Park  amazes you with his astonishingly crafted figurative sculptures made with tightly wrapped layers of aluminum wire based on fiberglass forms. The works shown here are part of the Brooklyn-based artist’s Human  series where he recreates the delicate wrinkles and folds of clothing as well as the sinuous musculature of the human body in metallic layers remeniscent of tree rings. Ways to Avoid Packet Sniffing and Data Theft

Packet analysis passively listens into a network and then extracts the important data, which is usually in plaintext. The key to hampering packet analysis is encrypting that data sent on the network so that it is not read in plain text. The encrypted data that packet analyzers gather is pretty useless without an encryption key. While it is possible for crackers to obtain the key, encryption makes the process a lot longer (and sometimes nearly impossible). There are a couple common ways to do this.

Manual File or Email Encryption

While this is the simplest way to avoid data theft, in the long run, it can also be the most tedious. Basically, every email message and every attachment sent is encrypted with PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) algorithms.

  Pros

• Not Really Any

  Cons

• Both the sender and the receiver need to agree on the same encryption key and have the same special software to unlock the data.
• This only works with data chunks like email and files. Regular web browsing and login information is still done in plaintext.

SSL (HTTPS)

On some websites like Yahoo! and eBay, there is a function that allows you to “securely” login. In the URL address bar, if you see “https” instead of “http,” you’re in good shape. But most of the time, this is only available in financial sites.

  Pros

• Streamlined so that you don’t even notice it is working
• All modern browsers support it.

  Cons

• This usually only applies to the HTTP (port 80) protocol. This will not work with any other protocol like FTP, Instant Messaging, and Email.

Remote Computing

Usually, remote computing incorporates a layer of encryption. Remote computing includes programs that utilize the VNC (Virtual Network Computing) Protocol or the RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol).

  Pros

• You keep the actual files on a server. You never send the complete data over the public network.

  Cons

• This can become very slow
• Requires a computer at home to be always on

VPN

Virtual Private Networking is my favorite and recommended method of obfuscating data theft. Basically, it creates an encrypted virtual network connection from your computer to your server. Pretend you connect to your VPN from a public network. All information that you access on the Internet is encrypted as it is sent to your home network first. There, the server decrypts that data then sends it across the Internet. Therefore, nobody in the public network can see what you are doing since it is all encrypted. VPN works sort of like a seamless proxy server.

  Pros

• Seamless integration with all programs
• If coupled with any of the methods above, you achieve at least double encryption.

  Cons

• Your network download speed is capped by the upload speed of your home network gateway.
• Requires a computer at home to be always on
• Requires a bit of configuration

Iceland, a land abounding in natural wonders, is a favorite for nature photographers. The glaciers in particular are places where they can find the full magnitude of what natural forces can create.Nicolas Brousse, a photographer from Malmö, Sweden, journeyed there to witness ice melting offBreiðamerkurjökull, a glacier on that island. He explored an ice cave that formed beneath the glacier and snapped incredible shots of it. 

The 27-year-old Frenchman’s snaps reveal intricate patterns and stunning colours, including black layers of volcanic ash, that make the rippled ceiling look like crystal and the icy floor look like a pane of glass.

Nicolas' group went on the thrilling expedition with an experienced guide, and he used natural light as well as his camera’s flash to capture his incredible photos.

Breidamerkurjokull is an outlet glacier of Vatnajökull, or the Vatna Glacier, which is one of the largest ice caps in all of Europe.

Meet Photogenic Sheepdog Sisters That Love To Do Everything Together

Meet Sophie and Sarah, two gorgeous Old English Sheepdogs living in the Netherlands. These two photogenic sheepdog sisters are incredible models, and they are also the very best of friends. In fact, these two do everything together from celebrating milestone birthdays at McDonalds to watching picturesque sunsets side-by-side.

Cees Boll, the proud owner of Sophie and Sarah, is perfectly happy to follow the loving pair around and take photos of them as they go about their day-to-day routines. As an amateur photographer, Cees finds unlimited opportunities for great pictures with two photogenic sheepdog sisters hanging around all day.

Cees began taking photos every day and posting them to social media, and as a result Sophie and Sarah have gathered quite an impressive following. Instead of taking normal dog photos of them playing fetch or going for a walk, Cees captures the sheepdogs in more human-like scenarios.

Sophie and Sarah are related by blood, but they were born in separate litters. The two get along so well they might as well be attached at the hip. Sophie is 6 and Sarah is 4, and together they enjoy posing for the camera… but only because they get treats as a reward for their superior model behavior.

Cees photographs his dogs in a number of stunning locations, including the flower-filled fields of Sibculo in the Netherlands and the Austrian Alps.

In an interview with the Dailymail Cees said, “The main reason I take the photos is so I can make people happy and put a smile on their face – well, Sophie and Sarah do. In a world full of bad things, I found a way to make it a little bit brighter. And seeing people happy makes me happy.”

Cees is always pleased to receive messages from followers that solidify his pictures truly make a difference in the world. “We get a lot of messages about the pictures such as your pictures make my day, when I’m sad I look at your picture’s and I feel better, your photos make me happy and warm.”

Sophie and Sarah love to pose for their picture because they know a cookie will come as a reward. Although, when Cees first picked up Sophie from the breeder he was told she didn’t like to pose for pictures one bit. Today, Sophie is the superior poser, while Sarah tends to be more on the naughty side. She will pose, but it’s all for the cookies, and not just to please.

It’s not always just Sophie and Sarah; these long-haired cuties have other sheepdog friends as well.

In the photo below, Sophie and Sarah are pictured visiting McDonalds in celebration of Sophie’s birthday, they brought along sheepdog friends Jason and Ashley for some added fun.

You don’t have to be a sheepdog to kick it with Sophie and Sarah; these two are open to making friends with animals of all different breeds.

The Old English Sheepdog (OES) is a large dog breed that originated in England as a type of herding dog. This dog is known for its long fur coat, which often extends down over the eyes and face. This breed was once known as Shepherd’s Dog and Bob-Tailed Sheep Dog, and is still occasionally referred to as its nickname Bob-tail because the breed’s tail was traditionally docked.
